Welcome to the Scouting Resource Page.

On this page, you will find links to information intended to help Scout leaders plan hikes and backpacking trips along the Appalachian Trail, and throughout our region.

This page has been written as a follow-up to the University of Scouting event, held annually at Lehigh-Carbon Community College in March. AHC member Hal Wright's course, titled "On the Trail to Backpacking," provides advice to backpacking trip leaders on gear, destinations, and management of groups in the backwoods.

Please feel free to email Hal with questions or comments: halwright@mac.com
