Our Mission

The aspiration of the Allentown Hiking Club is to escape the crowded city; to walk, hike and climb for the enjoyment and exercise with nature loving companions; to maintain its section of the Appalachian Trail; and to stimulate public interests in every phase of nature and the outdoors through programs and lectures.

Arts, Park, and Symphony in Allentown
Hike Distance: 1.5 miles
Part III of Arts/Park Series

A 1.5 mile loop walk through an Allentown park, 8th St bridge, returning to the Arts Walk, Art Museum,(free) and then enjoying the 3PM Allentown Symphony concert followed by a "brew" at the Allentown Brew Works. Allentown Symphony Hall, 23 N 6th St. Concert tickets: hikers receive 10% discount(mention this). Box office 610-432-6715, Brew Works 812 W Hamilton St. 10% discount with concert ticket. Parking FREE, Art Museum FREE. Attire: hiking gear is fine.

Meeting Place: 2nd meeting area at 12:12PM new parking deck(free) 6th and Linden Steets, in Allentown.
