A Sunday afternoon easy and scenic 4 mile walk on the upstream part of the Walnutport Spur tow path.

COVID PROTOCOLS REQUIRE A FACE COVERING IF UNABLE TO MAINTAIN A SIX_FOOT DISTANCE! We'll meet at the Walnutport Canal Association Trailhead and walk north (upstream) to the north end of the spur. Note this is the Walnutport Spur on the east side (not the Slatington side). We will have views of the Lehigh River and the canal adjacent to the towpath. At the north end of the spur we will be viewing the Lehigh Gap. I will speak about the history of the Spur and the Delaware and Lehigh Canal in general. Bring water, a snack and dress for the weather. Please be on time!
