Walk and Concert

Walk the Monocacy Trail from Illick's Mill to Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem, where we will enjoy a Bach at Noon concert. The concert is free, but donations are appreciated. After the concert, we will eat lunch along the Monocacy Creek and then walk back to our cars. The hike is 4 miles round trip and we will enjoy a fairly leisurely pace. Bring lunch and a face mask for the concert. Steady rain, sleet or snow on the morning of the event will cancel the hike.

This is an easy hike on paved path at Trexler Memorial Park.

This is a loop hike with a 1 hill. Since it is ST Patrick's Day, wearing of the Green is encouraged. Post hike plan to join me & fellow hikers at Wegmans. Wear walking shoes. Bring water. Heavy rains will cancel the hike. Please be prompt. I would like to start by 9:30. There is another group who is scheduled for 10AM. I will be wearing Green!

Loop hike around Blue Marsh Lake

This is a 23-mile loop hike around the lower portion of Blue Marsh Lake. Total elevation gain is 2400' which includes several steep climbs. The distance and pace make this a not-at-all-for-beginner hike. Bring at least 2+liters of water plus lunch and plenty of snacks to stay fueled. Steady rain cancels.

For those of us who need some easy walking to get back in shape... we will take a leisurely walk around the ballfield next to the Quakertown Park at 4th and then around the walking path in the park. Two plus/minus miles depending on how much you want to do.

THIS EVENT IS CANCELED-Loop hike around the Green Lane Reservoir

This loop hike will circle the Green Lane Reservoir, affording views of both the lake and countryside. There will be several short climbs and stream crossings. Sturdy hiking boots are recommended. If there is snow on the ground, microspikes or other traction devices will be mandatory. Bring a least 2L of water and lunch / snacks. Steady rain or snow cancels.
