We ask our members to bring a favorite dish to share with the group. No need to call about what to bring. We always get a variety of tasty dishes which, in turn, becomes a grand feast. DIRECTIONS: I-78 towards Allentown to Lehigh St. and north to Downyflake Lane (1st light) and turn right. Proceed to S. 12th St. and turn right. Continue to next light which is Emmaus Ave. Turn left onto Emmaus Ave. Turn right at Salisbury Fire Co. (Honeysuckle Rd.), left onto Black River Rd. Franko Park is 1/4 mile on the left. This is an 8 mile loop hike, starting at the Hamburg Reservoir parking lot and then going up to the Pulpit and Pinnacle for spectacular views of the rising full moon. Sunset is at 8:38pm and moonrise is at 8:59pm. This is not a beginner's hike due to the ~1000' ascent, rocky terrain and nighttime conditions. Sturdy hiking boots are recommended. Bring a headlamp or flashlight, at least 2 liters of water and food/snacks. Rain or cloudy conditions cancels. 12	13	14	15	16	17	18 7-18-15 8:45 am \| Hike Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Waterfall Hike Three out and back hikes to see 8 very scenic waterfalls in the DWGNRA. NOTE: Those with vertigo or acrophobia should avoid this hike. The first hike, while short, has 2 steep ascents where you will be grabbing roots and rocks for assistance. Your reward? 3 very nice waterfalls, 2 with swimmable pools, so wear a bathing suit if you're so inclined. The second hike also features 3 nice falls, one with a pool. This hike follows Hornsbeck Creek and features 2 scenic gorges also. The third hike will take us back to Silverthread Falls and Dingman's Falls. Bring water and lunch. Hiking boots are highly recommended. Heavy rain cancels. This is an all day hike, so please don't make plans for the early evening. 26 7-26-15 10:00 am \| Hike Seven Tubs Natural Area Hike/Swim A short hike along the chutes, drops and pools of the Seven Tubs. We will warm up with a short 2 mile hike, then stop for lunch. Another short walk will lead us to a swimming hole where we can cool off before we return to the cars. Wear a swimsuit or something you don't mind getting wet. Bring lunch, liquids, sunscreen and a change of clothes. NO PETS!
