We'll be hiking from the Fort Franklin Rd parking lot about 2.25 miles south to the Allentown Shelter clearing previously identified blowdowns. I will be looking for help carrying the chainsaw, associated supplies, and safety equipment, as well as removing bucked logs from the trail. For safety reasons, please wear sturdy boots, sunglasses/safety glasses, and leather gloves. Clippers and/or small hand saws are also welcome. When we reach the Shelter, we can have lunch and look over the shelter for maintenance needs. Bring water and lunch. No pets. Rain cancels. Please RSVP with text to 610-737-7768.
