Hike and float the Delaware river.

Join me for a 4 mile hike on the Delaware canal towpath, and then a 4 mile float on the Delaware River back to your car. We will meet at the parking area where Rt212 meets Rt 611 a quarter mile south of Riegelsville PA. Note that there are two parking areas at this canal lock. I will be in the larger lot across the iron bridge just north of the lot next to the road and the intersection. Bring your inflated tube and have a rope or some other arrangement to carry the tube on your back as we hike north on the towpath for 4 miles to the park at locks 22 & 23 in Raubsville. We will put in the river at the park. Remember that anything you bring will need to be able to go in the river for the float back to your car at the starting point so if you want to bring things like your cell phone make sure you have a dry bag that you trust. Anyone that wants to just hike can do so but you will either need to hike back on your own or bring a friend and set up your 2nd car at the end BEFORE the start time. Anyone that just wants to tube with us can meet us at Roosevelt park. Tube only participants will need to arrange your car shuttle on your own with a friend. For anyone just wanting to tube I estimate we will reach Roosevelt park hiking in around 2 to 2:30pm but can't guarantee an exact time so be there early.
